Hotel booking platform OYO Rooms partners with WhatsApp to deliver booking confirmation/cancellation messages. OYO will use WhatsApp Enterprise to communicate with users. That is, people booking OYO rooms will receive notifications through WhatsApp. This helps OYO team communicate with users in an easier way.
Once a booking is confirmed, a WhatsApp message will be sent to the registered phone number. The message carries every crucial information including the time and date of check-in and check-out.
Customers can only receive WhatsApp notifications through OYO’s verified profile. Users who do not use WhatApp and those who network problems will be notified through SMS.
With this partnership, OYO aims to increase its customer base as WhatsApp is immensely popular among active internet users.
