Overseas education platform Leap has raised $17 million in series B, conducted by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures participation from Sequoia Capital India and Owl Ventures – the world’s largest tech-focussed VC fund. In March 2020, Leap had raised $5.5 million managed by Sequoia.
In the gap of 1 year, Leap has managed to raise $22.5 capital. The rounds included participation from Incred founder and CEO Bhupinder Singh and CRED’s Founder Kunal Shah and other investors.
Leap served almost 20k students in 2020, and they are aiming to help 150k students in 2021. Leap provides various services to the students pursuing international education and careers. Some of their services include Counselling Services, Visa Services, and Education loans. With the new capital, Leap is looking forward to expanding its work, strengthening its team, developing and growing its student community. The company will also build global agencies for institutional partnerships and other business functions.
