Now you can order food on Ola app as cab-hailing app will soon be integrating online food delivery app Foodpanda on its platform. Ola had acquired Foodpanda for $31.7 million in January 2018. According to sources related to the development, the integration will be rolled out in October this year.
Foodpanda, founded in 2012, is witnessing a surge in the number of food orders after the introduction of new offerings, and the upgradation of delivery logistics.
Post its acquisition by Ola, the company has been working as an independent entity. It recently claimed to have achieved a major milestone of registering three lakh orders per day. It now aims to add another 150 million customers in India.
The technology centre of Foodpanda is reportedly working with the Ola team to integrate the food ordering experience on the Ola app. This will give Foodpanda access to Ola’s wide customer base across the country.
“Integration with Ola’s platform will help Foodpanda leverage these assets along with our deep understanding of Indian customers, large scale distribution and logistical, and technical prowess,” said Ola CEO & Co-founder, Bhavish Aggarwal.
